[Game Review] Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (PS3)

In PS3, PS4, Reviews by Davis FanLeave a Comment

This game took so long I almost didn’t think it would happen. After Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, I almost didn’t think I’d ever get my hands on another Guilty Gear with all the other fighting games that Arc System Works has been putting out. Now that it’s out, I couldn’t be more excited, though with the direction that fighting …

[Game Review] Far Cry 4 Review (PC)

In 360, PC, PS3, PS4, Reviews, Xbox One by Grant MikuriyaLeave a Comment

Another year, another triple-A title. While Ubisoft hasn’t treated the game like a cash cow like it has Assassin’s Creed, it has fallen prey to their cookie-cutter format of adventure games chock-full of unnecessary yet helpful side content. Fortunately, it has kept true to its main draw which is an FPS-meets-Survivorman gameplay, thankfully without having to drink your own piss.

[Game Review] Retro City Rampage DX (PC)

In 360, 3DS, PC, PS3, PS4, Reviews, Vita, Wii, Wii-U by Chris RamosLeave a Comment

Retro City Rampage DX is an enjoyable parody old-school action-adventure sandbox made by Vblank Entertainment. The game has a humorous charm of referencing a ton of pop culture entertainment that will make majority of players crack a smile. However, the charm it holds that gave it its unique feel eventually drags on and  drops the attraction one makes with the …

It’s been a while since I’ve been so scared that I forgot that I made a controller and everything I was touching all sweaty and totally shook someone’s hand with that same sweaty hand. Enough about my problems though. The Evil Within reared it’s ugly – yet welcome – head this year at Bethesda’s booth interestingly enough, because when I …

Destiny is highly anticipated and only months from release, which is why Bungie showed up in full force at E3 2014 with a booth full of demo stations and the faith of their fans in their hands. We went hands on with Destiny at the Sony booth. This particular demo consisted of two 10-minute rounds of CQ, which, while a …

[Game Review] Watch Dogs (PC)

In 360, PC, PS3, PS4, Reviews, Xbox One by Brian HurtadoLeave a Comment

Ubisoft Montreal’s Watch Dogs has been one of the most anticipated games of 2014. Originally scheduled to launch in 2013, Watch Dogs was delayed to Spring 2014, missing its availability during the Eight Generation console launches of the Xbox One and PS4. Many fans weren’t so pleased to hear the news, but the developers assured us all that they “needed …

[E3 2014] The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Gives Seasoned Players More to Explore

In Microsoft, PC, Previews, PS4, Sony, Xbox One by Eldon TsanLeave a Comment

As one of the few developers who push the boundaries on games as well as their preference for the PC platform, CD Projekt RED is arguably the developer that I respect the most when it comes to video game companies. After unveiling The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and seeing first-hand footage last year, I wasn’t entirely sure what could surprise …

[E3 2014] Dragon Ball Xenoverse is Bringing the Z-Warriors Into Next-Gen

In 360, Previews, PS3, PS4, Xbox One by Kevin KartanataLeave a Comment

Dragon Ball is a franchise that is about some very important things: aerial martial arts duels, energy blasts, and cruel alien villains bent on taking the Earth one way or another. Perhaps the most faithful game to really express the fast-paced, destructive action of the Dragon Ball anime and manga are the Budokai series. At E3 2014, the next evolution …

[E3 2014] Bloodborne: A New Hope for the Hardcore

In Previews, PS4, Sony by Eldon TsanLeave a Comment

I haven’t exactly viewed From Software in a particularly good light after playing Dark Souls 2 on PC. Sure, it was a good game, and probably better than anything out in the market as far as gameplay goes, but I realized how much wasted potential the game had and that hit me the hardest. I blamed most of the faults …
