[Game Review] Instant Dungeon! (PC)

In PC, Reviews, Vita by Chris RamosLeave a Comment

Instant Dungeon is a single-player 2D dungeon exploration game made by With The Love Studios. The game does not really have much of a story other than just simply wandering around dungeons and escaping. It’s simple as that but can definitely test one’s patience on how far they can keep playing the game.

[Game Review] Retro City Rampage DX (PC)

In 360, 3DS, PC, PS3, PS4, Reviews, Vita, Wii, Wii-U by Chris RamosLeave a Comment

Retro City Rampage DX is an enjoyable parody old-school action-adventure sandbox made by Vblank Entertainment. The game has a humorous charm of referencing a ton of pop culture entertainment that will make majority of players crack a smile. However, the charm it holds that gave it its unique feel eventually drags on and  drops the attraction one makes with the …

[Game Review] Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (Vita)

In Reviews, Vita by Davis FanLeave a Comment

Though most visual novels (or porn games) aren’t too popular in the states, localization companies like NIS America and Aksys Games have been bringing over titles like Danganronpa and Hakuoki. But let’s not forget slightly older titles like the Ace Attorney series from Capcom, which effectively is a detective game with a visual novel presentation. For those who haven’t played …

[Game Review] One Piece: Unlimited World Red (Vita)

In PS3, Reviews, Vita, Wii-U by Davis FanLeave a Comment

As I’ve gotten older, I found myself straying farther and farther from anime. Though I still love me some Gundam, I haven’t even touched the newer popular series like Attack on Titans and Kill la Kill until I was bored enough to take the plunge on Netflix. Oddly enough, I just never got into One Piece. At one point I’m …

[Game Review] Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn (PS3)

In PS3, Reviews, Vita by Davis FanLeave a Comment

With every previous Dynasty Warriors: Gundam title, I’ve always had a ton of fun just because of how much of a Gundam fan I am. There’s no other American way to have all our favorite mobile suits together at the same time. Likewise, with the newest addition, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn, we get the same treatment that would almost undoubtedly …

[E3 2014] Senran Kagura Bon Appetit Preview

In Previews, Vita by Grant MikuriyaLeave a Comment

A trip to the XSEED booth is always fun, as I can get my fix for Japanese games. One of the ones that really stood out for more reasons than one was their demo of Senran Kagura Bon Appetit for the Vita. A music rhythm game at its core, the game’s theme is a cooking contest that relies on the …

[Game Review] Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (PS3)

In PS3, Reviews, Vita by Grant MikuriyaLeave a Comment

It’s been 10 years since Final Fantasy X made its debut on the PS2, and it made waves back then much like that fat kid at the pool party who couldn’t cannonball right. Luckily, when the original game was out, I was old enough to remember the story clearly while still naive enough to not have an appreciation for one …

[Game Review] BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (PS3)

In PS3, Reviews, Vita by Davis FanLeave a Comment

Despite years of Capcom simply phoning in most of their fighting game installments, other companies have always made each installment drastic improvements over their predecesors. Case in point: Arc System Works has always done a great job of making each Guilty Gear or BlazBlue title a challenge for even veteran players to tackle. With BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, the company has …
